The Importance of Education in Women
For women, especially girls, who are living in poverty, education is not only one of the main keys to a brighter future; it is also a key to survival in life. It is an unfortunate fact that more than sixty percent of the millions of out of school children are girls. In addition to this, majority of female students are not given a chance to enroll in ashford university and other prestigious educational institutions as many parents think that it is enough that their daughters know how to read and write.
Many agencies and organizations worldwide are aiming to harness the potential of girls and women to learn in school, to lead others and to act on their every vision of change for themselves, their families and their communities as well. When properly educated, girls and women become less vulnerable to sexually transmitted diseases, human trafficking and other forms of exploitation. They are also more likely to get married later in life and raise fewer children who they would also seek education for.
Educated mothers would also know how to take better care of their children as they would know how important health care is for their selves and their children.
